BRENHAM PD ARRESTS ONE FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION, ANOTHER FOR FAMILY VIOLENCE WARRANTS

Brenham police arrested two people on Monday, the first for possession of marijuana and the second on warrants for family violence.

At 12:30 p.m., Sergeant Tiffany Anderson conducted a traffic stop at South Day Street and West Val Verde Street for a defective taillight.  Police say a narcotics investigation was conducted due to the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  Prior to conducting a probable cause search, police report that the driver, 21-year-old Tiyana Celestine of Columbus, self-admitted to the marijuana being hers.  Evidence was seized, and Celestine was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
