NINE WEEKEND ARRESTS FOR BRENHAM PD ON CHARGES INCLUDING ASSAULT, THEFT, BURGLARY
Nine people were arrested by Brenham police over the weekend on charges ranging from assault and theft to warrants for burglary.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of North Park Street in reference to a complaint. Upon arrival, a male subject, identified as 51-year-old Tracy McCullough of Brenham, was arrested for Criminal Trespass. McCullough was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in without incident.
Around 1 p.m., officers were called out to a disturbance in the 900 block of Mill Creek Drive. After further investigation, police say one of the parties involved, 31-year-old Marcus Ashton of Brenham, had an active parole violation warrant for Robbery. Ashton was placed into custody, searched and transported to the Washington County Jail for his warrant.
A few minutes before 1:30 p.m., Corporal Alex Saenz responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a shoplifting call. Contact was made with the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Kelly Courville of Alleyton. Police say Courville passed all points of sale with unpaid merchandise and had a Motion to Revoke warrant for his arrest out of Colorado County for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less Than a Gram. Courville was taken into custody and booked in at the Washington County Jail for the warrant and Theft of Property $100 - $750.
Just past 3:30 p.m., Corporal Saenz responded to the 100 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a complaint of a subject using counterfeit currency. Police located the vehicle in question and made contact with the passenger occupant, identified as 35-year-old Cynthia Price of Conroe. According to police, Price had a warrant out of Montgomery County for Assault Bodily Injury Family Violence. They also state that Price had marijuana and methamphetamine in the vehicle. Price was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in for her warrant, Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz., and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 1-4 Grams.
Approaching 9:30 p.m., Officer Garrett Downs was dispatched to the 300 block of South Baylor Street about a complaint. Investigation found that a known wanted individual, 59-year-old Floyd Schultz of Brenham, had an active warrant for Criminal Trespass. Schultz was placed into custody and booked into the Washington County Jail.
On Saturday, shortly before 7 a.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Highway 290 East in reference to a lapsed physical disturbance. After further investigation, police state that 21-year-old Jahnicka Smith of Brenham had allegedly assaulted and impeded the breath or circulation of her family member before leaving the location upon the arrival of law enforcement. Smith was located and taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation. She also had three active traffic warrants, two for No Driver’s License and one for Changing Lane When Unsafe.
At 12:15 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a disturbance near the 800 block of Hosea Street. After conducting an investigation, officers placed two individuals into custody, those being 41-year-old Terrance Williams of Burton and 37-year-old Allan Gilmon of Brenham. Williams was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Gilmon was booked in for Criminal Trespass and two active warrants out of Washington County: Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Other Felony and Criminal Attempt – Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Other Felony.
Around 8 a.m., Corporal Saenz responded to the 1100 block of Prairie Lea Street in reference to a stolen bicycle. The victim provided a description of the person who took his bicycle and left the scene. The subject was eventually located in the 3100 block of Highway 36 North and still in possession of the victim’s bicycle. Police identified the subject as 24-year-old Kareem Mills of Houston, who they say was in possession of marijuana. Mills was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. According to police, the victim only wanted the bicycle back and did not file criminal charges for theft.
