BLINN COLLEGE TO HOST VIRTUAL INFO SESSIONS FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAM, FORENSIC SCIENCE ACADEMY
Students interested in a career in law enforcement, corrections, forensics, or the judicial system are invited to attend one of Blinn College District’s upcoming online information sessions highlighting its Criminal Justice Program.
Hosted via Zoom, these sessions are designed to provide prospective students with an in-depth look at the program’s academic pathways, which include degree and certificate options, flexible learning formats, and unique partnerships like the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Police and Forensics academies.
The online information sessions will be held on:
- Thursday, May 29, at 7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, June 14, at 10:30 a.m.

During each session, participants will learn about the many pathways available within Blinn’s Criminal Justice Program. Whether students plan to transfer to a four-year university, begin a career right after graduation, or pursue specialized training in law enforcement or forensics, Blinn offers an option to meet their goals. Attendees also will have the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with program leadership.
Blinn Criminal Justice Degree and Certificate Options
Blinn’s Criminal Justice Program is designed to prepare students for success in a variety of legal and public safety careers. Course offerings are available online and on campus, and students can choose from the following options:
- Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice
Designed for students aiming to transfer to a four-year university to pursue a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
- Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice Technology
Offers hands-on training in criminal justice technology to prepare students for immediate entry into the field. - Certificate Level-1 in Corrections
Provides foundational skills and knowledge for careers in correctional facilities and the corrections industry. - Occupational Skills Award in Judicial Practices
Ideal for students interested in judicial administration and courtroom procedures. - Certificate Level-1 in Basic Peace Officer
Prepares students to pursue careers in law enforcement and policing through in-depth training at the RELLIS Campus. - Associate of Applied Science in Law Enforcement Technology
Focuses on developing practical skills for careers in law enforcement technology and operations. - Certificate Level-1 in Forensic Science
Offered through Blinn’s partnership with the TEEX Forensic Science Academy, this certificate prepares students for careers in forensic science and criminal investigation. - Occupational Skills Award in Criminal Justice
Introduces students to core concepts in criminal justice, providing a fast-track option for career exploration or entry-level employment.
Blinn also offers co-enrollment pathways to criminal justice degrees at Tarleton State University at Texas A&M-RELLIS, the University of Houston-Victoria, and Sam Houston State University.
