INDEPENDENCE DAY OFFICE CLOSURES FOR BRENHAM, WASHINGTON COUNTY

  

City of Brenham and Washington County offices will be closed next Friday in celebration of Independence Day.

Offices that will be closed for the holiday include Brenham City Hall, Brenham Municipal Court, Brenham Animal Services and all county facilities.  The Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, as well as the Collection/Transfer and Recycling Station, will be closed on Friday and Saturday, July 4th and 5th

All pools at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center will be open next Friday with hours of 1 to 5 p.m.  The Brenham Washington County Visitor Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residential and commercial trash pickup services will continue as normal on the holiday.

The offices of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will be closed on the 4th.  Bluebonnet members can access their account information and make payments by going to www.bluebonnet.coop, using the MyBluebonnet mobile app, or calling 800-842-7708.  Power outages can be called in at 800-949-4414 or reported through the website or mobile app.  They can also be reported by texting OUT to 85700 through Bluebonnet Outage Alerts.

City of Brenham ordinance prohibits the possession, discharge, transport, storing, offering for sale or presence of fireworks in the city limits.  As residents prepare for their 4th of July celebrations, they are advised to monitor the risk of wildfires, check for any fire restrictions in the county and keep a water source nearby.
