BRENHAM CUBETTE HONORED IN 5A ALL STATE SELECTIONS
The Blue Bell and Texas Sports Writers Association released their 2025 All-State selections this week, and among the honorees was Brenham Cubettes shortstop Avery Maurer. Maurer earned an honorable mention on the 5A All-State Softball Team, capping off a standout high school career.
A key leader for the Cubettes, Maurer played a pivotal role in guiding the team to the playoffs this season. A four-year starter, she was a consistent force on both sides of the ball and a cornerstone of the program’s success. This latest recognition adds to an already impressive list of accomplishments.
Maurer will begin her college journey this fall at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where she is set to continue her academic and athletic career.
