SUEDE GETS ‘HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES’ ROLLING
While the weather threatened to put a damper on the opening of “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” in downtown Brenham, the concert series was able to kick off without trouble.
Rain delayed the start of Saturday night’s concert, but conditions cleared out for the Austin cover band Suede to put on a show, playing classic hits and modern favorites.
The Stray Katz Car Club’s cruise-in lined Alamo Street with all kinds of hot rods. Visitors also enjoyed food and drinks from local businesses and vendors.
The concert was sponsored by Dahmann and Associates, Brenham National Bank, Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Seidel Schroeder.
Coming up this Saturday will be the Cap City Band out of Austin, a party band with a variety of crowd-pleasing tunes. Their performance will be sponsored by the Upchurch Yates Law Firm, Brannon Industrial Group, BRIANNA’s Fine Salad Dressing, and Deep in the Heart Farms.
