WORK ON WASHINGTON CO. COURTHOUSE EXTERIOR CONTINUES NEXT WEEK

Contractors will return to downtown Brenham next week to continue work on the Washington County Courthouse exterior restoration project.

Crews will be on-site Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  They will be working on completing scaffolding on the east and south sides of the courthouse, as well as removing windows in the tax assessor-collector’s office and county attorney’s office.

No contractors will be on location during the Christmas events in downtown Brenham on Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th.

The restoration project officially kicked off last week and is following an eight-days-on, six-days-off cycle.  Parking around the courthouse square is more limited over the course of the project, which is expected to continue into the summer of 2026.
