ROAD CLEAR AFTER DUMPSTER ROLLOVER CAUSES TRAFFIC SHUTDOWN IN BRENHAM
Update @ 2:30 p.m.: City officials say as of shortly after 2 p.m., the roadway at Highway 290 and South Day Street has cleared from the dumpster turnover.
Original Story @ 12 p.m.: Brenham Police and the Brenham Fire Department are on the scene of a traffic incident that occurred this (Tuesday) morning at the intersection of Highway 36 and Highway 290.
Around 10am, an 18-wheeler was carrying a large dumpster, when the dumpster rolled off the truck onto the ground below, and spilled its contents into the roadway.
According to City of Brenham Public Information Officer Melinda Gordon, there are no known injuries thus far.
Gordon added that the access road at Highway 290 and South Day Street has been temporarily shutdown while crews work to clear the scene.
