BRENHAM MAN WANTED FOR ROBBERY ARRESTED IN SAN ANTONIO

Brenham police say a man wanted for a robbery that occurred here in 2013 has been arrested near San Antonio.

Twenty-eight year old Donald Joseph Dekeyser of Brenham was located in a hotel in Windcrest, a community on the northeast side of San Antonio.

Capt. Trey Gully said the department received information on the location of the suspect and passed the information on to the Windcrest Police Department.

“He was wanted for a robbery that occurred in the 2500 block of S. Day during which he and another man stole the purse from a woman and fled. We tracked Dekeyser to the 1700 block of Old Mill Creek Road and arrested him.

While he was out on bond, Dekeyser was alleged involved in the theft of $1,500 in jewelry here. He fled town after that incident and had an active warrant for bail jumping. After receiving the information of his location, we requested the assistance of the Windcrest Police Department who located him and detained him,” Gully said.

Dekeyser will be returned to the Washington County Jail.
