SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS FOR EVASION AND WARRANTS, PUBLIC INTOXICATION
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests on Wednesday, one for evasion and multiple warrants and another for public intoxication.
Approaching 2:30 p.m., Deputy Jacob Faske was dispatched to the 24000 block of FM 1155 East concerning a female asleep in a vehicle. The female reportedly displayed signs of intoxication and was taken into custody. 46-year-old Lauren Emily Catalena of Washington was transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Public Intoxication.
Around 10:15 p.m., Deputy Faske responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Pecan Glen Road. Upon arriving at the scene, a male suspect was seen running on foot and, after a short pursuit, was taken into custody. 46-year-old Erik Neftali Vargas of Irving had active warrants in various counties and was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking. He was charged with Evading Arrest/Detention and his warrants for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More out of Montgomery County, Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More out of Grimes County, and Driving While License Invalid Enhanced out of Washington County.
