MALCOM BROWN TO BE INDUCTED INTO UT ATHLETICS HALL OF HONOR THIS (FRIDAY) EVENING

One year after being inducted into the Brenham Cub Football Hall of Honor, Malcom Brown is going to be honored again. Brown is one of the 13 inductees into this year's Texas Longhorn Athletics Hall of Honor.

The induction ceremonies will be taking place tonight (Friday) at the LBJ Auditorium and Conference Center in Austin. The doors open at 6:30pm, with the program starting at 7pm.

In a press release, the University of Texas said that Brown, who played football for the Longhorns from 2012-14, was a consensus First-Team All-American at defensive tackle who was a finalist for both the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Outland Trophy in 2014 before going on to be an NFL first-round Draft Pick who played in three-straight Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and winning a pair of Super Bowl rings in 2017 and 2018.

Brown joins the 72nd Men's Hall of Honor Class along with former football players Jackson Jeffcoat, Mike Williams, and Lawrence Stapleton, Mark Boswell and Ryan Crouser for track & field, and Garrett Weber-Gale for swimming and diving.

They will also be inducting the 27th Women's Hall of Honor which includes UT's first ever Softball Coach Connie Clark, former softball player Blaire Luna, Khat Bell for Volleyball, Evwella Munn for basketball, Amy Shaw for swiming and diving, and Janet Walker for Tennis.

The inductees will also be recognized on the field tomorrow (Saturday) during the Longhorns' game against UT-San Antonio.
