DIME BOX GETTING READY FOR 52ND ANNUAL HOMECOMING
The town of Dime Box is getting ready for their 52nd Annual Homecoming Festival.
The Homecoming Festival is coming up on Saturday, October 3, in Downtown Dime Box.
The long-running community tradition features a full day of family-friendly activities benefitting the Dime Box Lions Foundation, as well as area student scholarships.
They will start it off that morning with some mini-marathons. There is going to be a 10K Run, a 5K Run, a 2-mile run, and a 2-mile walk.
The marathons are all going to be starting at the Dime Box Fire Station.
There will also be a BBQ cookoff all day with pitmasters competing for awards and bragging rights. No entry fee is required.
The Homecoming Parade begins at 1pm, and it is going feature a special recognition ceremony for local Dime Box veterans.
There are also going to be arts and crafts vendors, food and beverage concessions, live music, a pageant, a silent auction, and kids’ activities like a petting zoo, and games.
