BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS FOR ACCIDENTS, FIRE ALARM

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Thursday.

Shortly after 6 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a crash at West Blue Bell Road and Highway 36 North.  They provided traffic control and checked for fluids leaking from the two-vehicle accident.  Units stood by until both vehicles were removed from the roadway.  The department did not report any injuries.

At 4:30 p.m., BFD personnel went out to the 911 dispatch center at 301 North Baylor Street for a fire alarm.  They found the alarm was set off by a construction company painting, and they used a fan to remove the fumes so that the alarm system could be reset.

At 4:45 p.m., units were called out for a crash in the 3800 block of FM 2935.  They provided traffic control for a one-vehicle crash before returning to service.  There were no reports of injuries.
