WASHINGTON CO. LIFTING BURN BAN

  

Washington County has lifted its burn ban.

The county announced today (Friday) that after several inches of rainfall on Thursday, the burn ban that has been in effect since August was rescinded this morning.

An order signed by County Judge John Durrenberger states that the decision to lift the ban comes after a majority of the county’s volunteer fire department chiefs agreed to do so. 

Residents are encouraged to continue exercising caution and to practice safe burning.
