BRENHAM NEXT VISION DINNER SUPPORTS SPIRITUAL FOUNDATIONS FOR LOCAL YOUTH

during Thursday's Vision Dinner at the Washington
County Expo.
Brenham Next hosted its annual Vision Dinner on Thursday in support of its mission to empower local youth to become tomorrow’s leaders.
Crowds gathered at the Washington County Expo Event Center for a catered dinner, a live auction, a poker chip drawing, and presentations from Brenham Next representatives and former students in the faith-based program who shared remarks about the impact Brenham Next has had in their lives through faith, education, fun and community engagement.
The theme for the evening was “Light the Way”. The featured speaker, former JAM Program Director AJ Brown, said the ministry seeks to inspire youth while offering them the opportunity to explore their imagination and how large the world is.
According to Brenham Next Board Member Julie Renken, the event raised nearly $46,000 to benefit Brenham Next and its activities, which include the six-week JAM program and the after-school BLAST program.
Also at the dinner, Brenham Next recognized outgoing Executive Director Shelby Smith for her service to the organization and community. Renken said Smith’s time “has truly been part of the story of Brenham Next”.
