AUSTIN COUNTY GRAND JURY TO HEAR KRISTEN LINDSEY ANIMAL CRUELTY CASE

An Austin County Grand Jury this morning will hear the case of a former Brenham veterinarian who went to social media and bragged about shooting a cat in the head with an arrow.

The grand jury meets once a month, but Austin County District Attorney Travis Koehn’s office has been working to gather information and conduct interviews, so the case did not go to the Grand Jury earlier.

Kristen Lindsey, the former veterinarian, lost her job in April after posting a picture on Facebook of a cat she claimed was feral, with an arrow through its head, which sparked outraged.

Lindsey could face animal cruelty charges if the grand jury decides there is enough evidence for prosecution.

A group of Tiger supporters gathered outside of the courthouse. Tiger is the name of the cat that was killed, although Lindsey claims the cat was feral.

  1. Seriously?? What are these supporters getting out of this? Justice for the cat, come on!!

  2. As if the woman losing her livelihood wasn’t enough, let’s prosecute her criminally and send her to prison. Can anyone prove that she didn’t believe that the cat was feral, I SINCERELY DOUBT IT. These cat people are off of their rocker and stand to cost the citizens of Austin county a lot of money in a frivolous trial.

  3. What Dr. Lindsay did was very cruel. She was intelligent enough to get thru medical school, and stupid enough to brag about killing a defenseless animal. Shame on you Dr. Lindsay.
