FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL BRINGS EXCITEMENT AND ANTICIPATION TO AREA STUDENTS

  

Monday morning represents a day of excitement for the students of Brenham ISD , with an estimated 4,800 student expected through the doors at district schools

Brenham ISD’s new superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson, is preparing for his first day as new superintendent, after voted to the position by the Board of Trustees back in April.

Jackson says that he will be on all campuses, visiting with students, teachers and parents to continue his personal involvement, which he says is one of the aspects of his position that he enjoys.

Also new to the area is Burton ISD’s superintendent Edna Kennedy, who came to the Burton District shortly after Jackson took over Brenham ISD.

Both superintendents say they would like to use more technology in the classroom to engage students in the learning process.

Kennedy says she is excited about what the future holds for Burton ISD, and expects a first day enrollment total of approximately 418 students.
