BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON 2ND DWI OFFENSE
A Brenham man has been arrested on DWI, his second offense.
Sgt. Curtiss Schoen conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of N. Park Street on Friday, just before midnight, after seeing the vehicle drive off the road, into a ditch and out again.
When he met with the driver, Schoen could smell the strong odor of alcohol in the truck.
When the driver got out of the truck, he was very unsteady and had strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
The driver, thirty-five year old Shawn M Converse, was arrested, and the passenger cited for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
