FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF FIRE REPORTS

  

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Tuesday afternoon around 2:15 pm the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a control burn on West Point River Rd. was out of control in the West Point area.

The LaGrange Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene, and found approximately ten acres of grass burning. The fire was contained and extinguished.

Then around 3:26 pm the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a tractor on fire on Old Lockhart Rd near LaGrange.

The LaGrange Fire Department also was notified and responded to this scene with Sgt. Ron Naumann of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire was extinguished and damaged was contained to wiring under the dash.
