ONE PERSON ARRESTED IN FAYETTE COUNTY FOR RECKLESS DRIVING
One person was arrested in Fayette County on Monday for reckless driving
Fayette County Sheriff reports that on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a reckless driver traveling west bound near Airport road on Highway 71.
While deputies were attempting to locate the vehicle, the white pick- up truck hit the center median guard rail near the “plum wall”. The vehicle then went airborne into oncoming traffic in the east bound lane. The truck barely missed a responding deputy, who was attempting to locate the reckless driver. This caused the deputy and another passenger vehicle to collide, as a result of Deputy Joe Martin avoiding a head on collision with the truck.
Responding to the collision were the La Grange Volunteer Fire Dept. Fayette County EMS untis 1 and 3, EMS Supervisor, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and DPS Troopers, Robert Thorp, and Robert Gulash.
There were no reported injuries and arrested at the scene for Reckless Driving was forty six year old Christopher Nunnallee, of Houston.
