HOUSTON MAN FACES DRUG & STOLEN CAR CHARGES IN BRENHAM
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Houston man has been arrested on numerous charges after he was found, unconscious behind the wheel of a stolen car.
Monday afternoon, Sgt. Jason Derrick responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a welfare concern.
The caller said a man was slumped over, unconscious inside a vehicle. The vehicle’s doors were locked, and when Derrick checked with Communications, he found the car had been reported stolen out of Harris County.
Officers were able to get the vehicle’s doors unlocked and remove the driver, 26-year old Jonathan Robert Gervason of Houston.
Gervason was tansported to Scott and White Hospital by EMS.
During an inventory of the vehicle, narcotics and drug paraphernalia were found. The drugs were identified as Trazadone, for which Gervason had no prescription.
Once Gervason was released from the hospital, he was arrested and charged with Unauthorized use of a vehicle; Possession of a dangerous drug; and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
