HOUSTON MEN ARRESTED IN BRENHAM ON DRUG CHARGES

Two Houston men face numerous charges – including an outstanding warrant arrest -- after a traffic stop this weekend.
Saturday, just before 10:00 a.m., Officer Terrence Johnson pulled over a vehicle in the 1200 block of Highway 290 West.
One of the passengers, 24-year old Anthony Demarcus Belton, had an active warrant out of Harris County for theft.
Johnson says he also could smell marijuana on one of the occupants.
Both marijuana and a form of THC were located during a search of the vehicle.

Belton also faces a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
22-year old Luis Rivas, also of Houston, is charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Parapernalia.
