BRENHAM WOMAN FACES TAMPERING CHARGE

A Brenham woman has been charged after a traffic stop this weekend.
Saturday, just before 1:00 p.m., Officer Jonathan Phipps pulled over a vehicle in the 1200 block of South Chappell Hill Street for an expired registration.
When he met with the driver, 31-year old Jakiedra Antroshel McBride of Brenham, he noticed the registration was no longer on the windshield.
McBride admitted she removed the sticker because it was expired.
When she handed the sticker to Phipps, he noted that the numbers were cut from a different registration sticker and placed on the one that had been on her windshield.
McBride was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, a second degree felony.
