GROUP SEEKING TO INSURE LINDSEY APPEAL FAILS
A group of area animal activists is trying to make sure a controversial local veterinarian’s license remains revoked.
The group “Tiger’s Justice Team” is trying to ensure that an appeal by Kristen Lindsey to the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners is denied.
The board revoked Lindsey’s license after she posted a photo to her Facebook page of a feral cat she killed with a bow and arrow.
Some are claiming the cat wasn’t feral but belonged to a neighbor.
Lindsey’s appeal is expected to be heard in the next few months by the State Office of Administrative Hearings.
Katy attorney Zandra Anderson, known as the “Texas dog lawyer” says she plans to be at the appeals hearing, and is also expected to file a “friend of the court” brief about the case.
True Blue Animal Rescue in Old Washington, has begun a fundraising effort to raise $9,500 donations for the effort.

TBAR really is trying to raise money!!!!!! And $9,500?? TBAR is a business wanting to care for animals but they have gone too far on this. Don’t ask others for money on a case you are taking way too far!! I agree with several of the committers on here about letting this woman have a 2nd chance!! She made a huge mistake and I think she has learned from it, she lost her job which WCAC was scared to keep her employed and had her license revoked. If TBAR was not involved in this case it would not be a huge ordeal as it is now. How do we know where she killed the roaming cat? It could have been out of this state! Do the courts have pictures of the so-called cat owner with the cat??

Again, I ask the question.. Where is the petowners responsibility in this?? I let my dogs roam when home out in the rural county. They are the same color as a deer would be… I do make sure they are penned during hunting season during the early morning hours and late afternoon. Somewhere in the world the pet owner needs to take some of the blame. If that cat was so dear… and she let it out to roam… Just saying…. Some folks need just good ole common sense… and yes … and to the person that thinks God will not be around during that hearing… I fully believe he knows all that goes on. God can be there and help us when no one else can.. and yes we have to pay for our mistakes.. but do you want to send her to the slammer while some idiot is out there killing folks and selling drugs and raping girls..
I will no longer donate to Tru Blue . At one time we contributed quite a bit. That will no longer be the case. If they have that kinda of money… why are they always begging… if you want a pet… take care of it yourself … that is the lesson….
Pure craziness! It was determined that the Neihbor could not in fact claim it was her cat anyway. If all of these people put their time money and effort into something else worth fighting for, the world would be a better place! No body ever wants to stand up for something worth fighting for! It’s a stupid cat! Totally not the same thing as a dr shooting a homeless man. Get real people! Have a freakin clue! People are all about getting murderers out of prison and get their life back in order, but some one shoots one cat, and they should throw her under the jail! Smh
I was upset by your comment “It’s just a stupid cat.” I am an animal lover but I am also a compassionate human being. My family and I are a hunting family. We hunt deer, geese, ducks, dove, etc. That being said, we wouldn’t use our hunting skill to kill a dog or cat. They are not game. Also, she may have posted it on Facebook one time, but that doesn’t mean she only did it one time. Tru Blu is allowed to fight for what they are passionate about just like Ms. Lindsey and team are allowed to fight for her cause. Why demonize Tru Blu when they are fighting to protect animals from cruelty at the hands of one who is supposed to heal them? We live in America and are entitled to do so.

I agree, But at the end of the day, give the women a second chance. It was a cat, Sorry for calling it stupid. There are bigger things to waste money on than a cat. At the end of the day, it was just a cat, a cat that we have no clue as to why she actually shot the thing, Calling it a wild cat, I would probably shoot any wild cat that was coming around my house to protect my Animals, and MY KIDS!!!!
Plenty of children out there need support like these so called cat supporters to keep them safe and out of harms way, yet nobody wants to fight for them! BECAUSE THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR A CAT!!!!!
Young girl??? She’s a 30 year old grown woman, not some mean 9 year old in pigtails. God will not be the not the administrative law judge at the SOAH hearing either. Remember, “life is hard. It’s even harder when you are stupid.”
Well, we have all heard from Lindseys lobbyists, close friends of her or the family. You will not hurt True Blu, we supporters are smarter than animal abusers. IF she gets her license returned, no self respecting ongoing practice would hire her, so family must have the funds to get her set up. The she can get all the folks defending her to be her employees and her customers. Any person that would kill a neighbors pet has no business giving healthcare to our animal friends. A real vet would not use cruel methods to control feral cat populations. This was not just a judgement error on her part, but a cruel act of inhuman behavior from an unbalanced individual.
Your statement does nothing to help me feel better. I love animals and would never want to harm one. Also, I do not know Ms, Lindsey and have never met her or her family, however I am a taxpaying citizen of this county and state and am also concerned with the complete and total lack of compassion and balance in this case. This lady has not shown herself to be an animal abuser nor has she attempt to control a population of animals through cruel methods, she simply did committed a really dumb act one time and posted it online. If she has shown remorse and is willing to work for redemption and a second chance, it is something her profession should consider if the circumstances permit. As someone who has supported Tru Blu in the past, please note that I may reconsider doing so if they go from being an animal rescue and start becoming political. Just saying……. I would love to see an official statement from True Blue regarding there stance on this issue. My future support will depend on how they respond.
She should never be allowed work around animals, again. That’s the point that people don’t get, and I don’t understand why that’s so hard to understand. Same as if she was a human doctor, who shot a homeless person with an arrow, and bragged about it on Facebook, then found out it was actually a neighbor. Oopsie, it was just a mistake! A wreckless, blatant, inhumane, cruel mistake, in which she broke the oath that she took as a veterinarian.
Seriously True Blue Rescue who is always soliciting donations to help animals and to board animals wants to raise 9500 to hurt an individual’s livelihood? Do u realize how much feed y’all could buy with 9500 for the animals y’all r trying to help. I sure hope someone re-thinks this. I have donated to True Blue in the past but if this is true they will not see another penny from me!!!
Same here! True Blue will not get another dime from me either just for participating in this WITCH HUNT! The girl used poor judgment and I think she has paid the price for that already. People are so ridiculous! Matthew 7:1-3, read it!
I had not heard this and am very disappointed if it is true. I have been a supporter of True Blue in the past and would really hate to learn they were using donated funds or even spending their valuable time raising money for a cause like that. It would be interesting if they would give KWHI a statement regarding their position on this issue
Totally agree with all the comments from EB and Blown Out … This is so sad that folks are wanting to ruin a young girls life. She made a bad mistake. I think she has paid the price already. Are you folks out to put her in the grave or burn her at the cross??? Do you realize what ya’ll are doing? If i had a pet that roams.. which I do.. and it got shot…. (because I live in a rural area)… It would be my own fault for letting my dog to run loose. Take responsibility of where the blame falls. I fully believe she has paid the price. Let her be a teacher to other young hunters and vets about mistakes can be made. I love my dogs dearly.. but somewhere the pet owner has to take some blame for this… But I also know we are human and make mistakes. Last i knew there was only one GOD.. But you folks are ready to burn her at the cross. Maybe those people should watch out. God will take care of you as well . I fully believe in what goes around comes around. Unbelievable!! Lets all be clear, the lady should not have shot the cat, dumb move. To destroy her life and career as a result of her bad decision is completely wrong. Whatever happened to giving someone a second chance, possibly giving her some retraining, or mentorship from a qualified mentor. Make her do community service work, but this approach seems complete out of proportion. Criminals who harm people get less severe treatment than this!
Good idea BlownOOP – She made a bad mistake but she still has a lot of knowledge and skills that can help other animals. If people would take responsibility for getting their pets neutered and spayed we wouldn’t have so many animals roaming freely and at risk for carrying diseases harmful to our pets, farm animals and ourselves. The money people are using to fight this young woman from getting her license back would be of more benefit if donated to animal rescue sites.
I think it is crazy that all this time, effort, and money is being put into something like this. As humans we make mistakes and need to be forgiven not gone after like we are on a witch hunt. So sad to see people so hungry for revenge. May God bless everyone in this situation .
