NAVASOTA WOMAN CHARGED WITH ATTACKING E.R. NURSES
A Navasota woman has been charged with assaulting a number of ER nurses at a Bryan hospital.
29-year old Roxanne Morales was taken by friends to the Emergency Room at CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital, after they claimed she had been heavily drinking and may have consumed pills.
According to ER staff, Morales could not stand on her own, and when they tried to get her into a hospital gown, she became belligerent and kicked one of the nurses.
A number of nurses tried to put Morales in restraints, as she began spitting at the staff, and digging her nails into another nurse's wrist.
Once Morales was medically cleared and released from the hospital, she was taken into custody.
Morales is charged with two counts of Assault on a Public Servant, Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.
