BRENHAM POLICE SERGEANT HAILED FOR “HEROIC” ACTIONS

(Brenham Police Dept.)
A member of the Brenham Police Department is being hailed for his heroic actions during what could have been a disastrous accident last week.
According to police, Wednesday evening, Sgt. Seth Klehm (Klem) and Officer Jose Perez responded to a reckless driver call.
The driver, who was north-bound on Highway-36 South, was having a medical emergency. Klehm was able to clear the intersection of 36 and Highway 290.
Authorities say it was then that it became apparent the incapacitated driver was going to strike a line of parked cars. Brenham resident Ralph Alexander, who has just picked up his dinner at a local restaurant, says it was then that Klehm took evasive action…
Alexander says Klehm’s actions were “heroic”..
Brenham Police Chief Craig Goodman says Klehm is indicative of what all Brenham Police officers strive to achieve…
Goodman says many people join the police department to make a difference in others’ lives and Klehm risked his own safety because it was the right thing to do.
