BRENHAM MAN SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR BURGLARIES
A 19 year old Brenham man has been sentenced to 8 years in prison for burglarizing a building in the 21st Judicial District Court in Washington County this week.

19 year old Adam Glenn Scott Rodgers of Brenham pleaded guilty to a number of burglary of a building offenses that occurred between April 14th and 16th of this year. Rodgers was sentenced to serve 8 years in prison and pay court costs and $3,167 in restitution. He also had his probation revoked from earlier convictions from offenses in October and November of 2014 for theft between $20,000 and $100,000, burglary of a building, and forgery. Rodgers received 8 year and 2 year sentences in those cases, and must make restitution totaling over $62,000 and pay court costs.
In other 21st District Court action, 41 year old Christian Spinks of Waller pleaded guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance from a December 2014 case. Spinks was sentenced to seven months in prison, ordered to pay court costs and a $180 lab fee. 53 year old Michele Denise Perkins of Houston pleaded guilty to theft of between $1500 and $20,000 from an August 2011 incident. Perkins’ two year prison sentence was probated, but she must pay court costs, $1653 in restitution, a $75 hot check fee, $50 crime stoppers fee, perform 150 hours of community service, and undergo drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment.
