CELEBRATE OUR SENIORS THIS WEEKEND

  

The 13th annual “Celebrate Our Seniors” program is set to take place this Saturday, August 13th at noon at the Washington County Fairgrounds and Event Center. The community is invited to come out and honor five senior citizens for their contributions to Washington County communities.

The honorees include: Mrs. Billie Blackshire, Ms. Lottie B Brooks, Mr. Jake Milam, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan, and Mrs. Viola Rogers.

A free BBQ meal is served to all senior citizens (65 and over), and others are asked to donate $5. As part of the program, live performances of gospel music will be presented. Additionally, representatives from home healthcare and other community-based programs will be on hand to answer questions about services available.
