BRENHAM AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD CONSIDERS IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
The Brenham Airport Advisory Board met on Wednesday to discuss improvement projects to the Brenham Municipal Airport.
During the meeting, the Board recommended that the City of Brenham request funding from TxDot for three projects:
- The Board would like to increase the pavement strength from 30,000 to 60,000- pound single wheel loading.
- The airport is also requesting the replacement of the runway lights, as the existing lights are 25-years-old.
- The Board is looking to construct an additional row of City-owned nested t-hangars.
The Board recommended that locations on the north end of the airport be looked into for the construction for the nested t-hangars.
