MOBILE HOME DESTROYED IN FIRE NEAR MILLICAN

  

A mobile home along FM 159 near Millican was destroyed by a fire on Sunday afternoon.

The College Station Fire Department and the South Brazos County Volunteer Fire Department responded to the rural property located off FM 159 near Matt Wright Road around 2:30 p.m., after neighbors called in reporting the fire.

According to South Brazos County Firefighters, when they arrived on the scene to the rural property, the interior the mobile home was completely engulfed in flames. The fire fighters battled the blaze for three hours before it was extinguished.

Authorities say the residents of the mobile home were not present at the time and no one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
