BRENHAM RESIDENT WITNESSES WOMAN JUMP OUT OF PLANE

  

A woman aboard a United flight from New Orleans to Houston jumped from a taxiing plane to a restricted area, and a Brenham resident was there to witness it all.

Cathy Cole says United flight 1892 landed at Bush Intercontinental Airport just after 1p.m. Monday and everything seemed normal at first. However, things soon took a bizarre turn when a woman from Cole’s flight opened an emergency door and jumped out of the plane.

Airline employees reportedly worked to keep the situation calm as police came to the scene to detain the woman.

Both the Harris County District Attorney’s office and the FBI have declined to pursue charges against the woman. Houston Police say she was taken to the Neuropsychiatric Center at Ben Taub Hospital.
