SBDC TO HOST BASIC QUICKBOOKS COURSE

  

The Blinn College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will host a basic QuickBooks course Wednesday, April 26, to teach small business owners to get the most from their desktop accounting software.

Class will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is intended for individuals with no or limited experience using the QuickBooks software. Students should be familiar with Windows on a personal computer. The course will not teach the online version of QuickBooks.

Topics include invoices, setting up your records, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, deposits and checks and basic reports. The class will be instructed by Certified Public Accountant Julie Gilmer and held at the A.W. Hodde, Jr. Technical Education Center, located at 2910 S. Blue Bell Road. Registration is $100 per person and available at www.blinn.edu/sbdc. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.

The SBDC at Blinn College is a business consulting and training center that is part of the Texas Gulf Coast Small Business Development Center Network, which serves 32 counties in Southeast Texas. The center provides free one-on-one consulting and low-cost training seminars.
