NEW APP HELPS GRIMES CO. LAW ENFORCEMENT SOLVE CRIMES
A new app is helping Grimes County law enforcement solve crimes.
The Crime Stoppers App was put into place in January in Grimes County.
The app allows users to quickly upload pictures, video and information. The information can then be easily shared with the correct officers and investigators.
The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office says the new app recently helped them arrest Dante Owens, who robbed a Dollar General store in Bedias.
The office pays an annual fee of $1,200 in order to use the software.
Anyone wishing to download the app can do so in the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Tips can always be called into Grimes County Crime Stoppers at (936) 873-2000
