MURDER TRIAL FOR SLAIN BLINN STUDENT POSTPONED
The trial for a man charged with murdering a Blinn College student has been postponed.
Robert McNeil is charged with the 2015 murder of Blinn College student Lacie Larose.
The 19-year-old woman was shot during a graduation party in College Station in May of 2015.
According to reports, McNeil left the party after an argument. He returned shortly thereafter and opened fire on partygoers. Larose was shot in the neck and died. Two other people were injured in the incident.
According to KBTX, the trial was supposed to get underway today (Monday) but was postponed because McNeil’s lawyers want to have DNA tested.
McNeil says he only wanted to scare partygoers with the gun and fired it accidentally.
No trial date has been set at this time.
