BRYAN MAN KILLED IN BURLESON CO. CRASH
A Bryan man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Burleson County, Tuesday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash occurred on Highway-21 just over three miles east of Cooks Point in Burleson County.
Preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 7:05 a.m., Tuesday morning, a 2003 250 Ford pick-up towing a flatbed trailer with construction tools, was travelling east on SH-21 in the outside lane.
The driver of a Ford pick-up, 45-year old Jose Sandoval, of Bryan, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to troopers, the driver of a 2008 Ford Escape, also travelling eastbound, struck pick-up from behind colliding with the trailer.
The trailer became detached, then the pickup rolled several times ejecting Sandoval.
The driver of the Escape, 22-year old Taylor Lilly of Caldwell was not injured.
The eastbound lane of SH-21 was shut down approximately 4 hours. All lanes were reopened shortly before 12 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
