AUSTIN CO. HAY SHOW, FALL FORAGE SEMINAR OCTOBER 2ND

  

The Beef and Forage Committee of Austin County is preparing to hold the county’s annual Hay Show and Fall Forage Seminar.

The program will be held Friday, October 2nd at the Austin County Fairgrounds Expo Center, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. and the program getting underway at 8:30 a.m.

This year’s program will cover pesticide laws and regulations, weed control in improved forages, fertility and pesticide, and considerations in soil management.  The program will also include presentation of awards for the county Hay Show.

For pesticide applicators, three Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits will be provided to those with a license.

Cost of the program is $20, which includes lunch.  Those who are interested must RSVP by Friday.
