BISD ANNOUNCES CHANGE TO ALTON LUNCH SCHEDULE
Beginning Monday the Brenham ISD will be modifying the service time for the drive-thru meal site at Alton Elementary School.
The new schedule:
- Alton Elementary School (1210 S. Market St, Brenham, TX)
- 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Brenham High School (525 A.H. Ehrig Dr, Brenham, TX)
- 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church (9180 Texas Highway 105, Brenham, TX)
- 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
District staff will continue to deliver food to the vehicle; families will not need to exit their vehicle to receive the meals, but children must be present in the vehicle to receive the meal. Food will be provided for all children between the ages of 1-to-18.
Brenham ISD also has Chromebooks available for check out to students without home computers during their time away from school due to COVID-19.
Device amounts are limited and are therefore restricted to 1 per family as they are available. An agreement will be given stating the device will be returned to the district.
The distribution schedule:
Brenham ISD Technology Building Parking Lot (1301 Niebuhr Street); Sunday, March 29 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Grades PK - 12
Required Information:
Student name and ID number
One additional form of identification (Ex: student ID card, parent driver’s license, or BISD student report card)
Student must be present in the vehicle
In these hard times, why can’t the BISD pay some of the privately owned restaurants to provide breakfast and or lunches for students. It seems that it has become to much for the cafeterias. To hell with all the nutritional stuff. Kids need to eat and reataurants need money. Just saying…
I thought that children did not have to be present in order for parents to pick up meals for their kids .
On the first email that was sent out to parents, and every other email I’ve received. It has stated all children have to be present to receive meals.
