BLINN POSTS RECORD MAY MINIMESTER ENROLLMENT WITH 15 PERCENT INCREASE

Blinn College enrolled a record number of students for its May Minimester.

The College announced today (Friday) it enrolled 1,463 students for the condensed semester, a 15.2 percent increase over the previous year.  May Minimester contact hours increased by 15.1 percent to 70,416.  Eleven high school dual credit students enrolled in the minimester.

All of Blinn’s May Minimester courses were offered online this year due to COVID-19, and all of its Summer courses will also be online-only.

Students can enroll in the Summer I semester through Tuesday, and classes will begin Wednesday, running through July 1st.  Registration for the Summer II semester is available through July 5th, while classes will run July 6th through August 3rd.  More information on the Summer semester, including course offerings and resources, can be found at www.blinn.edu/summer.

The Fall semester will include face-to-face, blended, and online courses, and social distancing guidelines will be in place.  Fall registration is open through August 23rd, and classes will begin August 24th.

Despite the increase in May Minimester enrollment, College officials still anticipate a decrease in Fall enrollment due to COVID-19.

Prospective students can apply to Blinn via the ApplyTexas.org application, then register at https://my.blinn.edu once admitted.
