BRENHAM SCHOOL HOUSE REMODELING LEADS NOVEMBER BUILDING PERMITS

  

A $750,000 permit for remodeling of the Brenham School House led an otherwise light November for building permits issued by the City of Brenham.

The permit was issued to the school house, at 600 East Alamo Street, for framing for interior remodeling of the current building into a bed and breakfast.

The second largest permit in November was issued to Jose Andrade Hernandez for $120,000, for interior remodeling and additions at a residence on 705 East Main Street.

Another notable permit in November was issued to Ba Na Hill Inc. for $100,000.  The permit was issued for interior buildout for a boba tea restaurant in the Bluebonnet Shopping Center, at 2670 Highway 36 South.

Right at a dozen permits were issued in November, worth $1,257,090.  Last November saw 22 permits for $1,398,841.

Two new residences were permitted in November, for $199,680.  So far this year, 53 new residences have been permitted for $6,583,894.

Through 2019 so far, the city has issued 252 permits for $37,744,854.  At this point last year, the city had issued 273 permits for $32,919,089.
