ELEVEN ARRESTED IN THURSDAY MORNING OPERATION IN NAVASOTA

  

Nearly a dozen Navasota residents were arrested Thursday morning after authorities executed search warrants at three homes, following four months of investigation.

Navasota police say officers and assisting agencies served search warrants around 6 a.m. for homes in the 200 block of Ella Street, the 1200 block of Water Street, and the 500 block of Victoria Street, all within the city of Navasota.

Authorities say marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl and heroin were found in the homes, along with multiple weapons and a large amount of stolen property.

Eleven people were arrested and booked into the Grimes County Jail.

Those being charged with second-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance are 38-year-old Melissa Wagner, 26-year-old Francisco Sanchez-Enriquez, and 66-year-old James Boring.

40-year-old Janny McGinn and 41-year-old Edgar Villegas are charged with third-degree felony Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Four people face state jail felony Possession of a Controlled Substance charges. Those are 32-year-old Julio Sanchez, 41-year-old Johnny McGinn, 35-year-old Lindsey Spencer, and 58-year-old Dennis Boring.

Sanchez is also being held on three local traffic warrants. Villegas faces a third-degree felony charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, as well as a misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana charge.  Dennis Boring and Janny McGinn also face misdemeanor marijuana charges.

30-year-old Ocia Sweed and 60-year-old Martin Boring also face misdemeanor marijuana charges.

Navasota police were assisted in the operation were the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), College Station Police Department, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Public Safety.

  1. Please hope the county narc unit doesn’t work the dope dealers. Just prosecute them and put them in prison for a long time where they can’t harm anyone else.
