
Texas Ranger Day (Burton)

The Burton Heritage Society hosts the fourteenth annual Texas Ranger Day in historic Burton, Texas at the Burton Railroad Depot, on Saturday, March 15, from 12pm to 5pm. Celebrate Burton’s history with an afternoon of activities including tasty food at the Annie Maud Avis Memorial Chili and Bean cook-off, demonstrations by the Legends of the Texas Rangers and McNelly's Rangers, folklife demonstrations including blacksmithing, woodworking, leatherworking, kids activities including the Lil Miss & Mr. Ranger contest, mule driven buggy rides, and tours of the historic Railroad Depot, as well as the Burton Farmers Cotton Warehouse. As always DJ Kountry Chick will be playing music and keeping it lively! Proceeds will restore our second historic site, the Mt. Zion Historic Chapel.
