JURDEN RECEIVES MORE SOFTBALL HONORS

Former Brenham Cubette and current Texas Lutheran Softball outfielder Kelly Jurden has advanced to the Google Cloud Academic All-America national ballot after she was named to a Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team.

Jurden, the 2019 SCAC Player of the Year, is majoring in Mathematics and working on a Masters degree in Data Analytics, and has a 4.0 grade point average.

Jurden is second in all of NCAA Division III in stolen bases and in stolen bases per game.  She has a school and conference-record 49 stolen bases in 51 attempts.

She also ranks high among DIII softball players with a .470 batting average with 50 runs scored, 54 hits, and 21 walks.

She is a 2017 graduate of Brenham High School, where she was an All-District outfielder for the Cubettes’ softball team.
