The National Federation of Independent Business – Texas Chapter (NFIB-Texas) announced that Kolkhorst earned a 100 percent voting record during the 86th legislative session, citing her support for local businesses.

NFIB-Texas Director Annie Spilman said Kolkhorst is “a true friend of the small business community in Texas”.  Spilman said Kolkhorst has shown she will do everything in her power to “create and maintain an environment where entrepreneurs and small, family businesses can expand and create jobs”.

Kolkhorst, a business owner and former Chamber of Commerce CEO, said small, independent businesses are “the engine of our state’s economy”.  She said she is honored for this recognition, and will continue to stand with NFIB-Texas on issues such as property tax reform, expanding rural broadband access, and workforce development.
