LOCAL COW CALF CLINIC SET FOR FRIDAY AT FAIRGROUNDS
The Washington County Fairgrounds is hosting the 49 Annual South Central Texas Cow Calf Clinic and Trade Show next Friday.
Registration begins at 7:30 at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Brenham.
The Cow Calf Clinic is held annually at the fairgrounds Sales Facility. This year’s program, which begins at 8 o’clock, will focus on “Managing Cow/Calf Operations through Uncharted Waters”.
In addition to the presentation, attendees can watch live cattle demonstrations and participate in contests testing their knowledge and skills. They will also have time throughout the day to visit tradeshow vendors and network with producers and speakers.
One lucky attendee will win a commercial heifer purchased at the Washington County Fair. The Washington County Beef and Forage Committee and Texas Farm Credit have partnered together to make the giveaway possible.
The South Central Texas Cow Calf Clinic is a product of area AgriLife Extension Agents and Beef and Forage Committee members from Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Fayette, Grimes, Harris, Lee, Waller and Washington Counties.
