LOCAL TEEN ADVANCES TO CHRISTIAN SPEECH REGIONALS

  

 

A Brenham area teen has earned the right to advance to the Regional speech tournament.

Luke Husmann finished 8th place overall in The National Christian Forensics and Communications Association tournament recently at the Brenham Blinn College Campus.

Husmann, a 12th grade homeschool student, placed in every speech event category in which he competed.  Husmann placed First for his Humorous Interpretation speech, Third for his Duo speech with Jimmy Sierra, Fourth in Digital Presentation speech, and Seventh in his Persuasive speech.

Husmann participates with the Brazos Valley Rhetoric Club in Bryan/College Station. A student-run, parent-led organization.

Husmann has earned an invitation to the NCFCA Region XII Championship tournament to be held April 30-May 2, 2020 at Concordia University in Austin.

Before then, Husmann plans to compete at other Regional Qualifying Tournaments.

Adults can serve once again as community judges at another local tournament to be held at A&M Church of Christ in College Station March 27-28, 2020. Volunteers can find out more and register at https://www.ncfca.org/judge/ and choose “Sign Up to Become a Judge”.
