NAVASOTA MAN SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS

A Navasota man is heading back to prison.
A Brazos County district court jury sentenced 43-year old John Eaddy to 40 years behind bars for violating a protective order twice.
According to the district attorney’s office, Eaddy returned to the victim’s residence six and eight days after he was ordered to stay away last April following his arrest on an assault charge.
The punishment was enhanced by prior prison sentences for strangling a woman, and for assaulting a police officer in Robertson County.
According to the Brazos County District Attorney’s office the 2018 assault case that generated the protective order is still pending.
