“NICK LIGHTNING” NAMED PET OF THE WEEK

  

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Nick Lightning” as its Pet of the Week.

Nick Lightning is a pit bull mix, about five months old.  He was originally named Nick after St. Nicholas by the vet staff who take of him over Christmas.

Nick came into the shelter with an infection that caused him to not eat, and he was very skinny as a result.  Brenham Animal Services staff say he is eating great now, and is putting on weight like a normal pup.  He currently weighs 18.5 pounds.

Staff added “Lightning” to his name because they say he has an interesting streak across one of his eyes that looks like lightning.  They say he does great in a kennel, and loves giving puppy kisses.
