No injuries were reported after a vehicle fire Thursday morning in Brenham.
When firefighters arrived, they found a green Hummer H3 with the hood open and its occupants standing outside of the vehicle. Firefighters were advised by dispatch prior to arriving that the fire was put out with an extinguisher. The fire was believed to be electrical.
Units talked to one of the occupants, who said they used a fire extinguisher after seeing smoke coming from the area under the glove box. Firefighters checked the area and found that the blower motor was very hot and melted wires hanging next to the fan motor. They returned to service after the motor cooled off.
