In just one week, lawmakers from across the state will convene for the 2017 legislative session.
On January 10th, Texas representatives will meet to determine laws that will affect the lives of the nearly 27 million residents in the state. Among the issues to be discuss are health care, transportation, community security, and education.
Local organizations and schools in Washington County and across the state set their legislative priorities earlier in 2016 in the hopes of having their voices heard during the session.
