When the team bus returned to the high school parking lot late Saturday night after the Cubs played in the State Championship football game, they found many of their vehicles had been burglarized.

The players found their windows smashed and numerous items taken.

Cpl Chris Jackson of the Brenham police department says they are continuing their investigation and says they are reviewing surveillance videos from the parking lot.

A fund has been set up to help the players whose cars were vandalized to repair their cars and help replace the stolen items. To donate or for more information, contact Heather Thieleman at (979) 251-0869 or email Brenhamgamechangers@gmail.com

A collection was also taken by members of the Aledo Bearcats football team—the team that defeated the Cubs in Saturday’s game—to help the local players out.

Washington County Crime Stoppers is offering a one-thousand dollar reward for information leading to the arrests of those responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call Brenham Police at 337 7337, or Crime Stoppers at 836 TIPS, (8477).
